Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atacan Emre Kocman is a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery specialist with extensive clinical, surgical and academic experience. His practice covers aesthetic procedures involving the face, breasts and body, as well as reconstructive operations performed to restore form and function after trauma, disease, congenital conditions or previous surgery.

Dr. Kocman graduated from Ege University in 2000. He then completed six years of specialist training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine.
During his specialist training, he attended professional educational programmes abroad and gained experience in different areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Following his residency, he worked in several cities and healthcare institutions as part of his compulsory and military service. This period allowed him to gain experience with patients presenting with a wide range of aesthetic and reconstructive concerns.
Dr. Kocman worked for two years in Kazakhstan, where he served both as a hospital manager and as a plastic surgery specialist. This international experience contributed to his understanding of different healthcare environments, patient expectations and clinical management processes.
He began his academic career in 2012 and continued working in academic medicine until 2021. During this period, he combined patient care with medical education and academic responsibilities.
Since 2021, he has continued to provide consultations and surgical care through his private clinical practice.

Tummy tuck surgery, also known as abdominoplasty, is performed to remove excess abdominal skin and improve the contour of the abdomen. Depending on the patient’s anatomy, the procedure may also include repair of separated abdominal muscles.
A mini tummy tuck may be considered when the concern is mainly located below the navel. An extended or 360-degree tummy tuck may be more appropriate for patients with excess skin extending around the waist, hips or lower back.
