Prominent ears are the most common deformity since birth. Prominent ear surgery gives aesthetic and permanent results which result in increased self-confidence and improved psychological health.

What is Otoplasty?

Cosmetic ear surgery is a safe operation. Since only the external part of the ear is intervened, no complication with hearing is likely to occur after the surgery.

Operation Technique

Otoplasty leaves no stitch marks on the visible surfaces of the ear. This operation is performed with a short vertical incision about 3 cm from the back of the ear. The cartilage is reshaped and fixed with permanent stitches. The ear skin is sutured and the ear is wrapped with a bandage. The stitches used are dissolvable, therefore there is no need to remove them.
