Tummy Tuck in Turkey

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape the abdomen, ideal for correcting imperfections and diastasis of the abdominal muscles. Diastasis causes the muscles to separate, resulting in a protruding appearance and discomfort due to impaired muscle function.

What is meant by abdominoplasty?

Abdominoplasty is a cosmetic procedure used to reshape the abdomen, making it firmer and thinner. The surgery involves removing unwanted fat and excess skin from the lower abdomen with the aim of slimming the abdominal muscle.

Abdominoplasty involves the surgical reshaping of the abdominal area and, depending on the patient’s clinical conditions, personal needs and characteristics, it can be performed in a traditional way or with less invasive techniques.

Traditional surgery involves a more extensive intervention, sometimes associated with liposuction, while less invasive techniques (e.g. mini abdominoplasty) involve a quicker recovery and leave shorter scars on the body.

Who is suitable for a tummy tuck?

People who have fat in the abdominal area
People who suffer from excess skin and loss of shape
People who have deformations in the abdominal skin
People who have damage to the inside of the abdomen
If you have some of these problems and want to eliminate an anesthetic image, you can consider abdominoplasty.

Abdominoplasty Technique

Abdominoplasty is a type of surgery in which the sagging skin of the patient’s abdomen is removed and a slimmer abdomen is created. The sagging abdominal skin is removed along with the underlying fat tissue and the abdomen is reshaped by replacing the remaining overlying skin with old skin. In some cases, abdominoplasty may be combined with liposuction to make the abdominal skin thinner.

Traditional abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia with an incision that runs from one hip to the other, slightly lowering into the central suprapubic area, similar to a cesarean section scar. Excess skin and surface fat are removed through this incision. If necessary, the abdominal muscles are repositioned to their original position with internal stitches to ensure a firm, toned abdomen.

To remove additional localized fat deposits, liposuction cannulas are inserted into small holes of about 0.5 cm in the skin. When the amount of tissue to be removed is small, you can opt for a mini-tummy tuck, which involves a shorter incision, muscle repair (if necessary), and removal of excess only in the lower abdomen. The mini-tummy tuck can also be combined with liposuction of the flanks and fat areas to further improve the profile.

Where will the scar remain after Abdominoplasty?

All surgical procedures leave some kind of scar. During Tummy Tuck, the plastic surgeon will design the scar in an invisible area like in the lower part of the abdomen to be covered inside the bikini. The quality and size of the scar varies from patient to patient, but by using sunscreen and scar healing cream it may be maximally reduced.

Which procedures may be combined with tummy tuck?

During abdominoplasty, generally liposuction is applied. Also you can include BBL. In some cases, fat injection could also be applied. The patients who lose a lot of weight and have sagging on their back can be applied to a 360-degree tightening operation. This procedure is known as “Belt Lipectomy”.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a full and a mini tummy tuck?
Both full and mini tummy tuck include the removal of extra skin and the tightening of the abdominal muscles. The primary distinction is that the mini tummy tuck is normally limited to the lower abdomen below the belly button whereas the complete tummy tuck is frequently used to revitalize the areas above and below the belly button. In other words, the full tummy tuck involves repositioning of the belly button, whereas in the mini-tummy tuck, this is not necessary.
Can I get a six-pack after a tummy tuck?
Yes, you’ll get a six-pack after tummy tuck surgery. It will remove the fat & excess skin revealing the muscles below. Most surgeons recommend exercising before a tummy surgery as well since a healthy body heals much faster, and the already formed muscles before the surgery, will be all ready to pop after the tummy tuck itself. Some six weeks after the procedure, you can start exercising again and tone up your muscles further for more promising results.
Does a tummy tuck get rid of stretch marks?
A tummy tuck is able to conceal and reduce stretch marks on the belly by removing the affected skin, but it is not thought of as a solely stretch mark removal procedure.
What is the difference between tummy tuck and liposuction?
Many prospective patients wonder what is the difference between a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and liposuction. A tummy tuck removes excess skin and reconstructs the abdominal muscles underneath, whereas liposuction only removes excess fat Liposuction alone doesn’t reduce excess, hanging, or loose skin. Oftentimes, both procedures are combined for patients who have both excess fat and excess skin.
